Newsletter: April 2017
Dear Parents,
I hope this letter finds everyone well. For the past month, students have learned how to introduce family members including their ages and occupations. Soon we will be moving on to the next chapter and are learning about pets and animals. For the assessment on this unit, students will have a presentation on their imaginary pets in class. As for the cultural aspect, students will also learn about the Chinese zodiac animals.
Besides the regular curriculum, one of the Chinese teachers from the exchange program from Beijing shared a kite-making class with the Sherwood Chinese students. I am glad that we were able to have such a special opportunity for Sherwood Chinese students.
Once again, I would like to remind you that the event “Under Chinese Lanterns” has been rescheduled to Friday, April 28th. I cannot wait to see students’ performances and meet you at the event. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions and concerns regarding your student’s Chinese study. Thank you for your continuous support!
Sincerely,
ChinHuei Yeh
