November Newsletter
Dear Parents,
Nihao!
For this month, Students have been introduced to the basic knowledge of Chinese language, including the pronunciation and Chinese pictograph. Grade 6 Chinese students have gone through the long pinyin chart and created their own Chinese pictograph picture. In addition, they are able to recite some of the popular children’s songs with correct pronunciation. They will use the iPad to make their own greetings comics for writing assessment.
Students are requested to check Schoology every day for homework and assignment. Doing homework and practicing the content we learn at home is very important for Chinese learners. It is necessary to practice Chinese at home for 15 minutes even on a Day 5 or Day 6. I have posted notes, practice games, videos, and audio recording on Schoology so students can use the resource at home.
I was delighted to talk to many of you on November 8th at the parent conference. Thank you again for your time and support. If you didn’t get a chance to sign up for the November conference and would like to do so, you can contact me through email at any time. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions and concerns on your child’s progress.
Respectfully,
ChinHuei Yeh
