Newsletter: March 2017
Dear Parents,
I hope this letter finds everyone well. This month Sherwood Chinese students have learned about classroom objects and possessive words. Students just finished their slides to show their capability to use the possessive words to ask and answer questions. Many of them did a great job on this project! For next chapter, students are going to learn how to introduce family members including their ages and occupations.
I would like to remind you that “Under the Chinese Lanterns ” hosted by the Chinese National Honor Society (CNHS) is coming up soon! Please mark Friday March 30th 6:00-9:00 PM on your calendar for the event. CNHS has raised the admission to $7 per person ($5 for performers) and allows each individual access to Chinese cuisine, art, music, and games with prizes at the Sherwood Gymnasium. Our middle school Chinese students will participate performing at this event. This is a great event for students and family to extend their learning experience from the classroom to the community.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions and concerns regarding your student’s Chinese study.
Sincerely,
ChinHuei Yeh
